An example of a custom project which was recently completed was the design and production of custom domed centre caps for Enkei RPF1 wheels. A domed style centre cap was designed using CAD modelling and the fit was optimised to suit the wheels centre bore. A version was produced using Selective laser sintering (SLS) 3d printing which is an industrial printing process that provides uniformed strength across the part unlike hobby 3d printing. A secondary prototype was produced using carbon fibre. An alternative centre cap for RPF1 wheels (which are a popular wheel due to their lightness and functionality) is soon to be available. A Plastic version will be available to order from stock soon and carbon fibre versions will be available for special order as a result.

Reproduction 300zx Parts
Many parts for the Nissan 300zx are becoming extremely difficult to obtain as they are no longer produced by Nissan and replacements are not made elsewhere. In these cases it’s commonplace to replicate the part using modern tech such as 3d scanning and a combination of advanced 3d printing and/or composite fabrication methods.
We are happy to discuss and explore any potential reproduction part with you. We usually do this for a very reasonable price as we will only charge you for the finished part and we’ll cover the development and design cost because we can add the item to our product catalogue. This is often the case with interior plastics that are broken as a result of removal and re-fitting.
The example provided is a seat belt component which was necessary to contain the pivot angle of the upper seat belt guide. Only one of the sides part was available and so this was copied and then used to create a reproduction for the opposing side by mirroring the part once replicated.
